Google Desktop (With Yet Another RSS Plug)

Posted on Monday 22 August 2005

Google Desktop 2.0 is out today (only for Windows XP and later versions of Windows 2000). One of the highlights is that you can now get RSS feeds on your desktop. It’s inevitable that you’ll start using RSS in the near future and that you’re gonna love it. Now is as good of a time as any to embrace the new technology by getting the new Google Desktop. Start enjoying RSS sooner rather than later.

On another note, it looks like RSS will be the standard for syndication, ending an relatively obscure, yet intense battle between strongly opinionated computer geeks about Atom vs. RSS. Now, if we could only get VI and Emacs people to come to a consensus :)
