Leigh Ann’s Trip Journal: Entry #10.5

Posted on Sunday 2 October 2005

If you actually made it through my previous, super long blog post, you learned about the adventures of a tuk tuk ride. Now you can experience this for yourself by watching my tuk tuk video.

Also, if you read Entry #3 from my visit to Taipei you found out about my tea drinking experience during Moon Festival. You can see how to drink Chinese tea and watch the amazing tea cups change from brown to red on this video.

And one more funny thing (unfortunately I didn’t get a picture)….in the ladies bathroom in Manila, there was a sign hanging above the sink that said, “NO WASHING DISHES IN THE BATHROOM!” Haha! :) What makes this really funny is that this must have happened more than once for it to warrant a sign. So here’s a traveler’s tip…don’t plan on washing your dishes at the airport when you visit the Philippines. ;)

I generally try to only travel at airports that have garbage disposals in the bathroom in case this situation ever comes up in my travels :)
