I added a couple of new albums to our photo gallery. First, Leigh Ann’s visit to Curtis Orchard with Conrad and family:
Then some pics I took yesterday morning around campus of the leaves turning colors:

Those pictures make me homesick for Ohio. We don’t really have any seasons here in Austin, just hot and not as hot. Its a high of 90 today I believe, and I’ll probably be wearing shorts Christmas morning. I miss the beautiful falls up in Pataskala and heading out to the orchards to pick apples and eat apple butter. I’d move back that way, but I don’t think the Texas girl in Candace could handle being so far from home. Thanks for sharing!
(that camera takes great pics! I know I saw it when LeighAnn was here..is it a Nikon?)
Don’t get too exciting about coming back this way. Our autumn season lasts for about one week, then we quickly progress into the prolonged “bitter cold” season, during which time I would gladly trade our weather for Austin’s
Our camera is a Kodak. I think it’s the DX6490, though when we got ours last Christmas, it came with the camera dock (which I’d highly recommend), but was about $100 more expensive also. I like it a lot. It has a lot of zoom (10x optical), which is very nice and it’s not as complex or bulky as a SLR camera. Of course, it’s quite a bit more bulky than those ultra-thin cameras.
The only two features I wish it had are: (1) some kind of automatic stabilization for low-light pics and (2) a small delay timer to allow you to push the button and then it gives you a slight delay so there’s no movement from you pushing the button. You can use the self-timer for the latter, but you have to wait like 10 seconds or so. It would be nice if they had an additional one that only delayed like one second.
