Trying to open up your link on Firewall bypassing at work, I was denied access by the firewall for accessing a site in “Proxy Avoidance”. Oh well your blog is still fair game.

Ironic! Basically, you just set up an OpenSSH server on your hom machine and use an SSH client (e.g., PuTTY) to log in to your server at home. One thing they don’t mention is that you need a static IP address at home for this to work. There are several sites that let you simulate this over a dynamic IP address (which is what you have at home). Though, your work may block those domains as well:
