…that’s what my whole week has been about. On Saturday Matt and I did work outside. I took up all of the dead stuff that was planted around our mailbox and planted some pansies while Matt washed our car and a few other misc things. Afterwards I was feeling so worn out which I just attributed to working outside all afternoon. But then Sunday morning I woke up with a full-fledged cold. Matt took very good care of me on Sunday while I stayed on the couch most of the day. We did manage to visit another church and also played a game of Frisbee golf later in the afternoon. By Monday I had used up all of my special lotion Kleenex and has to resort to the “regular” kind. I’m feeling better now, but am still having to walk around carrying a box of Kleenex everywhere I go.
I have been looking into some volunteer opportunities the past couple of weeks. I decided to volunteer with the Red Cross and I attended my first orientation session this week. I had to fill out some paperwork and get a background check, but once all that is finished, then hopefully I can start volunteering a few days a week. I’m also volunteering with a local road race next month and Matt is going to run the 10K in that race.
We had our second doctor’s appointment last week and we got to hear Bean’s heartbeat which was 156 beats per minute. There is an old wives tale that a fast heartbeat means the baby will be a girl. Our next appointment is at the end of March, and hopefully at that appointment we will be able to tell the gender from the ultrasound. We’ll see if the old wives tale turns out to be true!
I found a website to create this little due date ticker, so I’m posting it here to see if it actually works…if so, maybe we can add it on the front of our website so everyone can keep track of our progress.
My mom is coming to visit this weekend! Yay! We always have so much fun. We’re planning to work on getting some curtains for the house.
