What about Eyrie (or Aerie)? It can be pronounced several ways but I like either (in the Jared phonetic alphabet) EYE-ree or A(uh)-ree. It means, um, eagle's nest.

And late to the conversation as usual :)

Leigh Ann, what was your maiden name? Buchanan? I kind of like that. It would be a good sense of history.

It's a shame that Moxie Crimefighter is already taken. Or you could use what the one reseller called you that time...wasn't it Legan?

The more I think about it, I'm really liking Buchanan. Or maybe Ellie. Or instead of Mae, maybe Maisie?

Hope y'all are doing well!

Don't forget that Grace is the middle name of one of our cousin's babies. Not that you couldn't use it, too, but it might come off as a bit unoriginal.

That would be kind of interesting if there was like copyright infringement for names. So basically every name you came up with had to be something totally new.

I always thought it would be a good Onion article to do something about the MPAA suing people for name infringement for using celebrity child names like Apple and Suri :) It would make me laugh.

Kaelyn Crap Miller..... That is the worst idea I have ever heard and I can't wait till the girl is 12 to tell her what Grandpa suggested. haha.

Grace is pretty cool..... Pure Grace.

On a side note, Matt do you know where I can buy cases of Spam.

Just changing my name before someone ones to use it for Kaelyn's middle name. Personally, I like Sharee for the middle name.

Definitely don't use a name that starts with F, like Flo, because if she married someone with a family name that starts with C, her initials would be KFC.

I'm sure Matt will check any submissions against a super TLA database (Three-Letter Acronym) before making a final decision.

I'd be willing to consider Sadie for a middle name. I just didn't want it for her first name. What do others think of Sadie? Do we need something with more syllables?

I proposed Sadie, but Leigh Ann vetoed it. It's Hebrew for "princess". So the name would have meant "pure princess".

Rae . . . . Mae reminds me of one of my favorite artists Jaymay, which is a cool name. Sadie is also pretty rockin'. That's the title of a Joanna Newsom song, which makes it even rockin'-er.

Haha, this thread is hilarious! I like Ben's suggestion for Danielle. Maybe we could just go with the combo route to give credit to all who tried:

Kaelyn Benichwennarieann Miller. Oooh, oooh, I have one! "Pegg" Bwahahahaha!

Rose is ok, but I keep thinking about the Golden Girls so it's not resonating with me. What about Rae? Too out there?

I think Gwenna is right on with "Valerie". I mean, with a name that means "pure strength", she's bound to be a bodybuilder or an Olympic athlete, or at the very least, an excellent Ultimate player... [And coming from someone whose name meant 'Strong Musty Odor', trust me, the meaning is very important.] hehehe...

I like Rose second best. :)

I don't know why, but I'm a fan of multisyllabic names, though Rose certainly goes well with Kaelyn, so if you like it go with it. I've never heard of Alivia, just Olivia. Are they pronounced differently?

As to a couple of suggestions, I like the name Renee, but that's a name I would like to use for my own daughter (not that I have one on the way or anything). Still, you're free to use it.

And then just a name that I thought flowed well with Kaelyn (I like the name by the way): Kaelyn Danielle Miller. That way you got that "l" sound throughout the entire name. Kind of poetic. You could even go with Kaelyn Daniela Miller.

Just a thought off the top of my head. Marie is nice also.

Rose
Alivia

Any thoughts on those?

Wow. So now that I've seen Kaelyn written down I like it a whole bunch more.

I like the sound of "Kaelyn Jared Miller"

Or maybe "Kaelyn Moon-Unit/Murgatroyd Miller"

Moon-unit literally means Moon-unit. Murgatroyd means, "I'll never have a boyfriend." You see why I like Murgatroyd.

Delorian has a nice ring to it, too, as do Telecaster, Accordion, and Operational Amplifier.

You could also go with more vague names like "Daughter," "Girl," or, my favorite, "Niece (To The Greatest Uncle In the World)." (Eric and I will have to fight over the true meaning of that last one.)

If all else fails, you could just go with Valencia, Janice Joplin, or Regina Spektor (unless you wanna stick with just three names).

But seriously, I kinda do like Kaelyn Valencia Miller. Throw an X and a Z in there and you've just about got the whole alphabet.

I think a three syllable name works best. Like Elizabeth, Samantha, or Constantine.

Maybe the middle name could come from poetry since the first name was chosen partially because of its meaning. Kinda mix it up. Maybe Christobel? (DON'T! In fact, don't even read Christobel. It's a little dark and vampirish and, um, other things for my taste.)

Or just skip all that and name her Muse. I'm sure that's what she'll be to me.

Some ideas...

Kaelyn Leigh Miller
Kaelyn Valerie Miller (Valerie means "strength.")
Kaelyn Zoe/Zoey Miller (It is different and Zoe means "life.")
I also do like Mae.

Well, whatever you choose will be perfect!

I'm in favor of having interesting intials. I like the KLAM suggestion about, but would also go for KIM (ex: Imogen) or KOM (ex: Opal, nickname: Dot).
