Wow – lots of baby news the past couple of days…maybe there was a full moon? Welcome to the world Mr. Drake Myers (Feb. 10), Mr. Evan Pelz (Feb. 11), and Miss Brynn Schauberger (Feb. 11)!! We look forward to meeting all of you.
In other news, I have always wanted a Jeep but somehow Kaelyn managed to get one before Mommy. That’s okay though, it’s been fun having the jogging stroller. Kaelyn, Matt, and I all ran together for the first time last week. It was nice to be able to run with Matt again…although sometime in the last year I got a lot slower and he got a lot faster. At least I get a good view of Matt’s nice legs while he is running up ahead of me pushing the stroller.
One of my favorite parts is the “music on the move” feature which allows me to plug in the iPod into speakers on the stroller so that Kaelyn and I both can listen to the music while we run.
After living in our house over a year now we finally got curtains for our living room. Hooray! I had purchased two or three kinds before but after bringing them home I decided I didn’t like them. But these I knew I liked right away. Mom, Dad, and Jared came to visit last weekend and Mom and Dad ironed and hung them for us. I just smile every time I walk in the living room now…it just pulls the room all together and makes it feel much more cozy. Mom and Dad also brought us a new rug to go in the kitchen that matches the other smaller rugs we have. With the new rug and the new curtains I finally feel like the kitchen and living room all flow together now and I love it!
Also, despite the green bean video that was previously uploaded, Kaelyn actually does like green beans now. She likes everything she’s tried so far including: sweet potatoes, squash, green beans, peas, carrots, applesauce, pears, bananas (her favorite), rice cereal, oatmeal cereal. I just bought some prunes for her to try – I’m interested to see how that one goes. She’s also learning to use a sippy cup. She knew just how to pick it up and bring it to her mouth – in fact, she practically attacked it when I first gave it to her. Now she just needs to learn how to suck it the correct way instead of sucking it like she’s nursing.
Time to go play with my favorite little girl in the world…

Doesn’t she grab everything and bring it up to her mouth?
I guess occasionally she gets something in her grip and starts swinging her arm wildly up and down.
Yea, but she doesn’t just grab any part of it and stick it in her mouth…she directly grabs the handles and puts the sippy part in her mouth.
